    Incoming fax corruption

We are using Faxman v3.82 and have a customer who is experiencing a problem where perhaps 1 in 5 received faxes are corrupt (large chunks of the page are solid black).

The customer is using a US Robotics PCI modem with an init string of AT&FE0V1&C1&D2S0=0, and all outgoing faxes work fine.

Could corruption like this be down to flow control?  Any alternatives?

I can email a sample TIFF of a corrupt fax on request.

    Hi,

It could be a flow control issue, please try this init string:

    AT&FE0V1&C1&D2&K3S0=0

and see if that doesnt help the received quality.

This is happening to one of our client with USR external modem (USRobotics 56K* V.92 External Faxmodem).  How can apply the init string suggested by the admin.  We are using version 4.4.6 btw.
