    Upgrading to v4?

We are considering a v4 upgrade because of known issues with v3 and RDP/Terminal Services.  We have many customers on v3.x and wanted to know what issues we are likely to face.  There are some posts on this forum that have made me very nervous about v4!

Are there any known issues with the latest v4 release?  Is it a PITA to upgrade an existing v3 fax log?  We need FaxMan to run as a service, as we have multiple applications using it at once - is this rock-solid or are there any gotchas?

We have held off upgrading for too long, but need to be convinced that the product is stable before we take the plunge.

    Hi,

The latest V 4 releases are pretty solid, there were a couple of issues in earlier builds as a result of issues in the new code used to communicate between the server and  the clients.

We have a utility to convert V3 databases into the V4 format.

The biggest change that requires code modifications is the new printer controls. Also if you have written any database queries in V3 then you'll need to rewrite them into the sql syntax of V4.
