What is the required height of faxes in pixels?

    Has anyone seen this...?

I am sending faxes using the FaxCreate function and TIFF files.  The TIFF files I create are 1728x2156 pixels.  The width is fine, however, the faxes intermittently seem to get "squished" from the height.  At times, there is actually data lost in the "squishing" process.  I have seen up to approximately 1/4 inch of data in the middle of a fax not appear on the final fax received on the fax machine.

I am sending faxes through faxman to standard fax machines.  This problem appears to happen most on G3 fax machines.  I have FAXMan version 3.53, but I have heard that the new version of faxman, while it now supports high speed fax machines, would not necessarily address this problem.

     Has anyone seen this issue?

    Hi,

Faxman V 3.xx doesnt support Error Correcting Mode so its possible that some data may be lost when its sent causing the receiving fax device to leave out some lines of fax data.

FaxMan V4 does support Class 2.1 which has ECM support enabled which would eliminate this issue on modems that support Class 2.1 such as the Mainpine, Perle or Multitech modems which we test with.
