    General Modem Error

    Hi

I am using a US Robotics USR3453C Courier FaxModem with FaxMan v2.6. Whenever I try to send faxes outside my area code, it fails with a GENERAL MODEM ERROR. I can see the modem dialing, receiving destinations string and successfully negotiating fax parameters but it fails right after that.

I am sending the relevant portion of the faxman32.log file:

    Re: General Modem Error

    Hi,

You can try using this init string: AT&F1&H3&I2&R2E0V1&C1&D2S0=0 to see if that helps. Note that the version of FaxMan you are using is 10 years old and we have had many updates since then.
