    FaxMan reinstall problem under Vista

    We install a FaxMan printer from our program using the .InstallPrinter method. The FmPrint4.ocx version is 4.3.10.

    A user running Vista successfully installed the Fax printer, but did not want to use the fax features of our program. He deleted the printer by right clicking on the printer in the Printers listing in the Control Panel, then selecting "delete". But, we also use the Fax printer to also create TIFF files, which he does want to do, so he then tried to reinstall the fax printer but the previously successful installation now hangs at this point:

    ========
     Copying UNIDRV.DLL
     To C:\Windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86
    ========

    with

    ========
    Copy error
    "Cannot copy file to destination directory"
    Click Retry... or Cancel
    ========

    We have been able to reproduce this problem on a Vista machine here with full admin privileges by taking the same steps. The
     C:\Windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\UNIDRV.DLL
    file already exists on the system and properties indicate security is set to "Full control" for administrators, which is the current login. (We can change the securities for the file without problem from the Vista Properties Security tab.)

    The original printer does not exist, so don't think running the deleteprn program would help, and don't want to run a "deleteprn ALL" on the system.

    Any idea why this particular error is occurring? Suggestions?

    Thanks!
    ...Mark
