    Problem with AVM PCI Cards

    Hello

I have some Problems to configure a AVM PCI Card to work with the Fax Programm. The Application didn“t find the Card.
Can your Software handle AVM PCI ISDN Cards?

    Version:
Windows XP with all Patches etc
    FaxMan Version from today

Re: Problem with AVM PCI Cards

    Hello

the Application runs with the AVM ISDN Cart without Problems!
Only install the CAPI Driver, the TAPI Driver (use the really newest ones!!) and i made a mistake with the AT Init from the Modem.
    Hint:
If NO DIALTONE then set the ATX2 und ATX4 to 0!

    @Company:
Your Produkt would be better if you write some Hints to your Handbook!!!

Re: Problem with AVM PCI Cards

    Hi,

I've got the same problem. The FaxFinder-Control does not detect the G3-Fax Modem emulated from the 'Fritz!Card PCI Rev. A' module. CAPI/TAPI driver are installed and working correctly.

Is there a possibility to use the Fritz!Card as a fax modem even if the FaxFinder-Control can't find it? If so, how can I detect the port the Fritz!Card is working on?

    With friendly regards,
    s.gerunde

    Hello,

If you can use Hyperterminal as in the below steps to find & open the port then FaxMan Jr should be able to detect the port and use it. If these steps fail then the configuration is incorrect and Faxman jr wont be able to use the port.

    Open Hyperterminal
1st Dialog: Give the session some name: "foo"
2nd Dialog: Connect using the COM port NOT the modem name
3rd Dialog: Accept all the default settings.
Once you are in the terminal window, type "AT" and hit ENTER.

Do you get an OK back?  If so, the FaxMan should be able to detect and use this port.  If not, review A. and B. above.

Re: Problem with AVM PCI Cards

I'm trying to connect to the following ports:

    ISDNPORT1 - AT returns OK
    ISDNPORT2 - AT returns OK
    ISDNPORT6 - AT returns OK
    ISDNPORT7 - AT returns OK
    COM1 - AT no reaction

The FaxFinder-Control does not detetect any of them. But they are listed and assigned as a fax port in the telephon- and modem options.

    Maybe COM1 is the problem.

    Hello,

Yes, you need to get a response from COM1 as thats the port that FaxMan Jr would look at. It does not use the other ports which are tapi virtual ports.
